What is it?
7AW was established in June of 2003 by & for the family and friends of Mark and Lori Schoeppach.
7AW is located on the northern side of Mt.Baker in the North Cascade foothills of Washinton State. It consists of 7 wooded acres of motocross and cross country trails, nature paths and camp areas featuring many varieties of trees ranging in age from newly planted to 100 years old. While the Alders are very prevalent, you will also find many Western Red Cedar, Grand Fir, Maple and Hemlock trees with the occasional Birch and Cottonwood nestled among them.
The campground contains a main large outbuilding (shelter) with running water and power, the common eating /cooking area, large campfire pit and gathering place.
Nearby, you will find the ‘facilities’ with outhouse & outshower.
Surrounding the common area are tent and RV sites and a small cabin.
This private riding camp & Forestry Project continues to evolve as a work in process.
7AW is most commonly used for friends & family, weekend outings, family reunions and getting out to ride or walk the trails.
It is not far from a good fishin spot, and in the right season there is hunting on hundreds of acres around 7AW. Deer, Bear, Coyote, Bobcats and a variety of birds have often been spotted on and around the property, however hunting is never allowed within the boundaries of 7AW.
The Track: consists of over 2 miles of trails with varying degrees of difficulty. There is something for everyone, from the tabletop to the double, the single jumps to the whoop sections, and interspersed among them are straight-aways and the occasional hairpin turn. Many have spent countless hours in an effort to ensure a balance between the fun & challenging riding trails vs. preserving nature and wildlife habitat.
Many folks have put in a lot of Blood, Sweat & Tears to help make 7AW what it is today and we have posted this website as a “Thank You” to all who have participated & to share what we enjoy with others.
